While there are many car manufactures across the world, which bring out sport sedans, no one can quite hold the forte like Audi and BMW. Offering stiff competition to each other, the Audi A4 saloon and BMW 3 series are popular cars that belong to the compact luxury sedan/ saloon segment. Both are similar in some ways and unique in others. Here we try to find out what makes these two tick. Audi A4 saloon comes with a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline 4-cylinder engine (2.0 TFSI). This delivers 211-hp and 258 pound-feet of torque, enabling greater fuel efficiency. The BMW 3 series gives an option of three engine types. The 328i model of the BMW 3 series has a 3.0-liter inline 6 engine that gives 230-hp and 200 pound-feet of torque. The second in the BMW 3 series is the 335i model which has a twin-turbocharged inline-6 engine that delivers has 300-hp and 300 pound-feet of torque. The 335d model in the 3 series also has a twin-turbocharged diesel, but it provides 265-hp and 425 pound-feet of torque.
