Car makers around the world are trying to compete with each other in every possible dimension. You would see that all the major car makers would have their competing vehicles in all the segments. The likes of BMW, Daimler and Audi are all geared up with their respective vehicles in order to tap into this flourishing market of the compact luxury cars. In this review we are bringing a “to the point” comparison of Audi A4 vs Mercedes C Class. Audi A4 is manufactured by Audi AG whereas Mercedes C Class belongs to another German car manufacturer, Daimler AG. Both the cars are giving a tough time to each other. The Mercedes C Class comes in three trim levels which are further classified into sport or luxury versions, then into rear wheel drive or all wheel drive versions. The base version C300 sports a 3.0 liter V6 engine which can deliver 228 hp. The C350 model is powered by a 3.5 liter V6 that generates 268 hp. The other engine option which comes with the C63 AMG is equipped with a powerful 6.2 liter V8 engine that can crank out 451 hp. As far as the trannys are concerned, you can choose between a six speed manual transmission and seven speed auto transmission. On the other hand, the Audi A4 comes equipped with the 2.0 liter turbocharged four cylinder engine that can generate 211 hp. The base version of the Audi A4 comes with multitronic auto transmission whereas other trims are available with the Quattro technology with all wheel drives. They can be mated to the six speed manual transmission or the better eight speed tiptronic auto transmission.
