Alto vs Spark vs Eon: Maruti vs Chevrolet vs Hyundai

0
Hyundai has managed to keep all car manufacturers on pins and on the edge of their seats before they launched the Hyundai EON. Set to compete against the Maruti’s limited edition small family car Alto and Chevrolet’s highly popular and successful Spark, the Hyundai Eon was bound to ruffle the feathers of established car manufacturer’s in India. Maruti Alto and Chevrolet Spark both have good host of features and are well established in their own sectors ready to competitively compete against any new entrant. All three cars have varying engine capacities within the same bracket, ranging from 796cc to 814cc till 995cc; of Maruti Alto, Hyundai EON and Chevrolet Spark respectively. The 9 valves in the Eon engine gives better mileage but the lesser number of valves might cause frequent changing of gears in heavy traffic or while driving on hilly terrain. The EON provides 1-2 kmpl better mileage than the Alto or Spark.

Blue Eyed Boy is the title given to the New Wagon R 2010. From interiors to exteriors, the car is a lot of change. The changees are to such an extent that Maruti could have launched a separate model with some other name. The looks of new Wagon R are currently getting a mixed review from people all around. Few say, ‘WOoooow’ and few say, ‘I don’t know why company bothered so much for these looks’. But we all know, Maruti models have always been a huge success, whether in the start or a bit late after launch.
