Chevrolet is all set to get thrills to the car enthusiasts through plethora of vehicles in its four-segmented stall. The things are going to change from old and the brand has plans to dig deep inside the Indian automotive market by fine tuning its present models. Chevrolet divided the stall in three segments named Chevrolet Next, Chevrolet Technology and Innovation and Chevrolet Performance.
Chevrolet Next section is showcasing the products that will be launched in this year. This includes an uplifted Tavera called as Tavero Neo3 which is all spiced up with refreshing look. The new 2012 Tavera will now not look boring and simple vehicle; it will rather carry some bold looks. The front grille is split into two with Chevrolet Badge at centre. The bumpers are adapted to carry some sporty looks. The 4-cylinder, 2.0 litre TCDi diesel engine churns out 106.8ps @ 4,000 rpm and a torque of 263.7Nm @ 2,500 rpm. The model will also be available in a 2.5 litre turbocharged BS3 engine option.
Alto vs Spark vs Eon: Maruti vs Chevrolet vs Hyundai

Hyundai has managed to keep all car manufacturers on pins and on the edge of their seats before they launched the Hyundai EON. Set to compete against the Maruti’s limited edition small family car Alto and Chevrolet’s highly popular and successful Spark, the Hyundai Eon was bound to ruffle the feathers of established car manufacturer’s in India. Maruti Alto and Chevrolet Spark both have good host of features and are well established in their own sectors ready to competitively compete against any new entrant.
All three cars have varying engine capacities within the same bracket, ranging from 796cc to 814cc till 995cc; of Maruti Alto, Hyundai EON and Chevrolet Spark respectively. The 9 valves in the Eon engine gives better mileage but the lesser number of valves might cause frequent changing of gears in heavy traffic or while driving on hilly terrain. The EON provides 1-2 kmpl better mileage than the Alto or Spark.
