Audi R5 To Be On Roads Soon!

2
The Volkswagen Group unveiled the Bluesport concept car and expressed that this concept will be at work in three models that will be launched under Volkswagen, Audi and Porsche marquees. The Audi R5 is going to be based on this concept. This is based on the Mittelmotor architecture, popularly known as MiMo which is developed by Volkswagen. This architecture offers the engine positioning in the middle. Audi cars are mostly known for being a front engine car. Audi R5 might be the first such car launched by Audi AG that would have a rear positioned engine. There was a buzz in the air that Audi may ditch the idea of producing Audi R5 because it would have potentially eaten into the market share of Audi TT and Porsche Cayman. However the Audi R5 will be positioned in such a strategic manner that it will be placed between the high end Audi R8 and the lower end Audi TT. The car Audi R5 is most likely going to be put together in the Karmann factory in the Osnabruck city of Austria.
