Audi R5 might be the first such car launched by Audi AG that would have a rear positioned engine. There was a buzz in the air that Audi may ditch the idea of producing Audi R5 because it would have potentially eaten into the market share of Audi TT and Porsche Cayman. However the Audi R5 will be positioned in such a strategic manner that it will be placed between the high end Audi R8 and the lower end Audi TT.
