How To Remove Grease Stains: The Process

The first step to effectively removing grease stains from the interiors of your car would be to remove the excessive grease and oil around the stain. Do this with the help of the absorbent cloth. The self absorbing properties of the absorbent cloth will absorb any excess oil or grease over the stain preventing it from spreading further. Next, place the paper bag which preferably should have a matt finish on one side and should be glossy on the other side. Gently place the paper bag on the stain.
Make sure you do not press it down to hard at this point; this will cause the grease stain to spread further. Place the paper bag carefully on the stain with the glossy side facing up. Next, warm up the iron. This is actually the tricky part. The iron should not be too hot when it might actually burn the interiors of your car depending on where the grease stain is located especially if it happens to be on the leather seats.
Hence the iron should not be too hot or too cold but just the right temperature. Press the warm iron over the stain till the paper bag has absorbed the grease leaving the area where the grease stain was located clean. If any residual stains remain, it can be easily cleaned with the help of car stain removers.
Similarly if you happen to have these stains on the paint or on your car doors, use hot water and soap to remove the stains. Soak up a sponge in warm soap water and gently scrub the grease stains. You can increase the concentration of the soap water depending on the stubbornness of the grease stains. But ensure that your sponge is soft and free of any abrasive materials at all times. Once the stains have been removed. Use a soft, moist cloth to rinse off the soap water.
Then use a soft dry cloth to wipe of any remaining dirt or water. Grease spots will not remain nightmarish as they were if removed properly and with care.
