Range Rover Evoque vs Audi Q5
Range Rover Evoque and Audi Q5 are two vehicles that are simply redefining the SUV form as we know it, with their elegant design and high performance. Evoque is the compact SUV manufactured by the iconic performance auto manufacturer Land Rover that simply stands out at driving experience, agility and looks. On the other hand, Q5 is a crossover SUV that provides the driving appeal of a sedan and the versatility of an SUV. It seems the Gaydon based British car maker and the Zwickau based German car maker are at loggerheads over the lucrative SUV market around the world.

The Evoque is powered by a 2.0 liter turbocharged four cylinder engine that can deliver 237 hp at 5500 rpm and the maximum torque of 340 pound feet at 1750 rpm. It can attain the top speed of 135 mph. The acceleration that it can provide is 7.1 seconds for a sprint from 0 to 60 mph. This SUV comes with 6 speed auto transmission with an all wheel drive. On the other hand, the Audi Q5 does well on performance front. The engine of Audi Q5 comes in two variants which are a 2.0 liter turbocharged 4 cylinder engine which can generate 211 hp and 258 pound feet of torque. The 3.2 liter 6 cylinder engine can generate 270 hp of maximum power and the maximum torque at 243 pound feet.
Evoque has great interiors with high quality material used and double stitching that gives it a distinct look. The driver’s seat is quite comfortable with ample headroom and lower positioning for enhanced comfort. But the headroom in the rear is not very comfortable. The interiors of the Q5 do have a classy look and elegant feel. There is ample space for comfortable ride. Another noticeable feature is a Panorama roof that is even quite handy in daytime.
On the outside, Range Rover Evoque is one of the best looking SUVs around. The looks exude machismo and style. The looks of the SUV alone can increase its sales number manifolds. The SUV is small but the design makes it look wider and bigger. Regarding the looks, there is no other rival that can stand along with this SUV. Audi Q5, on the other hand, has Audi Xenon Plus headlights with LED daytime running lights. It boasts of a single frame grille in the front that increases its appeal. The looks of Q5 are great, a standard with Audi now.
Coming to the pros and cons of Evoque and Q5, we would say that Range Rover SUV is a bit heftily priced, but it seems distinct along with. The looks and driving pleasure does pay for the price. Q5 does overall a good job and is priced well. Had the engine given a tad higher performance, it would have been a great buy. But overall, it’s still a good option.
