Volkswagen Vento

With the launch of Volkswagen Vento, many Indian companies who are in the same mid segment of sedan cars are facing wrinkles on their head. Vento is doing superb on Indian roads with so many fans now. However, there are reasons for this too:

-                      Volkswagen is overall a very reputed brand not only in Germany, but in the whole world. Audi, one of the premium auto segment, is a owned by the Volkswagen group.

-                      The engineering in the Vento is not perfect, but is still nice when compared to its competitors.

-                      The interiors are plush and comfy with height adjustable seats. The design is quite appealing and complete in all aspects.

-                      Even the basic model, trendline, will offer all four power windows, central locking, height adjustable seats, Driver’s Information System, electric opening of boot lid and rear A/C vents.

-                      Price tag is worth and is about 1lac cheaper than its main rival Honda City.

-                      Both petrol and diesel variants are available and are cheaper than the Honda City.

However, the Vento is new to India, so it has to grow dealerships and service centers to acquire the trust of people. There are few complaints about the rude behavior of the workers employed at the dealerships. This prospect is a not a big reason to worry about because the company is new in India and every setup takes a bit of time to be perfect.

The main rivals for Vento are Hyundai Verna, Maruti Suzuki SX4, Honda City and Fiat Linea. Honda City is well the most performing car in this segment and also the love for this car is tremendous. The pricing for City is around 1lac more than Vento in all trims and that is what a positive point for the Vento to boost its market. Vento vs. City is the perfect competition in the mid segment and we have to wait few months to see, who performs better.
