SUV offroad: New Mitsubishi Outlander Setting It’s Way
SUV market is setting a strong base automobile industry all over. The reason is that they are capable for any place with lots of luggage as well as more seating capacity. The looks of new generation SUVs are also playing an important role to catch a customer mind.
Mitsubishi has recently launched its all new Outlander to set more customer base and to compete more smartly with its rivals like Honda CR-V, Hyundai Tucson, Cheverolet Captiva, Toyota Fortuner and a few more. Outlander has mainly focused on updating its looks. The front portion is all changed with a bigger grille and new headlamps. The grille is all decent black with a touch of chrome. Side mirrors are installed with side indicators and are pumped with autofold/unfold feature. New headlights are equipped with High Density Discharge Lamps with auto adjusting feature. The headlights adjust themselves according to road conditions and are highly visible in bad climate conditions.
Engine is all the same in the new Outlander. Same 2.4L MIVEC I4 engine producing 168Ps of power. The transmission is 6-speed manual with paddle shifters mounted on the steering wheels. The interiors are also given a few plus features. A hot/cold storage is placed just above the glove box which is a luxury feature absent in most of the SUVs. The drive options dial is placed in the center which is easily reachable and has three drive options; 2 wheel drive, 4 wheel drive auto and 4 wheel drive locked.
Audio system now has 9 speakers placed all over the vehicle cabin including subwoofer.
Vehicle has many more Pros features which are useful and which truly give the car a luxury feature. The only thing that is absent is Rear A/C vents. Although the A/C is very powerful in the car but still, rear vents is a need in the high-end SUV.
The base model of new outlander is priced at Rs.19.95lacs and is available in 9 different colors which are Catwalk Silver, Haute Red, Chic Black, Cool Aqua Metallic, Vogue White, Shimmering Ash, Runway Grey, Primavera Purple and Glitterati Green.
The car is overall good but the other cars in the same segment are also loaded with features and looks. The car will have to face a lot of competition as the dealer and service base of Mitsubishi motors is also a bit weaker as compared to other car makers of India.
