General Terms Used in Automobiles

There are few terms where we just read through in specification, but actually don't know about them like say torque, power, engine types, transmission etc. I had tried to explain them in a short and easy way but still if it doesn't fulfills your knowledge, do comment on it.
Nano car could have been better

Before the delievery of Tata Nano, people were so curious to fetch there booked car as the fish wants to back to water after catching her out. After the deliveries, the feedbacks were disappointment, not satisfied, etc.
It was said before that the Nano would cost around Rs. 1 Lakh, but the actual prices were far apart. The base version costs Rs.125,340(Mumbai) and the high end model costs Rs. 185,375, insurance and road taxes are extra. So, the cheapest car one can get at approx. Rs.140,000.

Maruti 800 to be discontinued from April 2010

Maruti has decided to discontinue Maruti 800 in 13 major cities from April 2010 as the car cannot comply with Euro IV emission norms. The car will be available in the other parts of India as the Euro IV norms are not standard in these cities.
